How To Cultivate Vanilla

Vanilla is include of legume plants. This plant can grow better in tropical climate with warm temperature, so just can grow better in about the sea or not too high level from sea water, if the temperature too cold this plants also have bad growing. This plant will growing vine if there is no other big plant, so in order this plant can grow stable and can flowering and fruiting normally, this plant need big plant to vine. Indeed vanilla plant can travel anywhere but this plant will grow better if vine on the other legumes plant like Chinese legume. Chinese legume have a good strength to vine vanilla, either strong Chinese legume also function as a good food source for vanilla. If vine in other plant and look very fertile but vanilla can't flowering so can't result vanilla fruit.

In Spanish and other Europe countries vanilla can pollinated by bees and possibly hummingbirds, the yield by natural pollination can result just 1 percent. If we cultivate this plant outside of Central America, where there is no pollinator animals, we can pollinate manually using needle pins. The production using needle pins can reach to 80 percent production.
